NICE GOING
Dennis's father pulls Dennis on a sled going up a hill
mailman >
Express package for you, Mr. Mitchell
father >
Fine! Just in time!
A mailman is handing Dennis' Father a large cardboard package roughly the height of their legs, they are standing at the front door and and a mailtruck is seen in the street
dennis >
What's in it, Dad!
father >
A house.
Dennis looks curiously at the large package, Dennis's father signs for the package and the mailman waits patiently
dennis >
A house? C'mon...you're not THAT skinny, Dad!
father >
It FOLDS OUT for ice fishing.
Dennis and his father walk back inside the house
dennis >
You're gonna go FISHIN' for ICE?!
father >
No, no...you chop a HOLE in the ice at the lake, and you fish THROUGH it!
Dennis' father is putting on a pair of boots at the kitchen table, Dennis looks towards him and Dennis' Mother does dishes at the kitchen sink
dennis
I DO? O BOY LET'S GO!
father >
WAIT a minute! I didn't MEAN you! I...
mother >
Oh, Henry...
Dennis is seen running towards the door. Dennis' Father looks shocked and is jumping up from his seat. Dennis' Mother looks back and continues doing dishes at the kitchen sink

mother >
I WOULD appreciate a quiet afternoon without Dennis
father >
Well...okay. But you'll have to break the news to Mr. Wilson. He's going with us.
Dennis' Father and Mother are speaking at the kitchen table as Dennis is running back into the kitchen
AND SOON...
wilson
Harrumph!
dennis >
C'mon, Mr. Wilson... be a sport! I'll let ya have half the fishes I catch!
Dennis is sitting in the backseat of the car. Mr. Wilson has his arms crossed in annoyance and Dennis' Father is driving with a pipe in his mouth
wilson >
Looks simple enough... four sides and a top.
dennis >
Is this the roof, Dad?
father >
Put it down, son.
The three guys are standing on the ice. Mr. Wilson is bent over looking at the unassembled fishing tent, Dennis is holding a square object, and Dennis' Father is carrying a heat from the trunk of the car
dennis
HEY!
Mr. Wilson looks towards Dennis who is sliding backwards as the square object blow him backwards like a sail
father
DENNIS!
Mr. Wilson looks onward at Dennis as he continues blowing away while Dennis' Father now starts running after him

Dennis and his father slide on the ice and crash into another fisherman on the ice and hit him and his tent
fisherman >
Whatsa big idea, Mac?
father >
Awfully sorry... the wind blew him across the ice!
The fisherman is on the ground yelling towards Dennis and his father while his collapsed fishing tent lays ontop of him. Dennis looks sad and Dennis' Father looks apologetic
father >
You all right, son?
dennis >
Sure, Dad!
wilson >
Let's get the top on and get in out of the wind! I'm FREEZING!
Dennis' Father is carrying Dennis under his arm as Mr. Wilson stands outside their fishing tent waving them inside
dennis >
Boy, All that ice would make lotsa LEMONADE, huh?
wilson
LEMONADE?! BRRR!
The three guys are inside the tent, Dennis is holding some chopped up ice. Mr. Wilson blows out a puff of cold air and Dennis' Father chops at the ice with an axe
dennis >
Lemme help ya, Mr. Wilson!
wilson >
Never mind. I just want to get this stove started so we'll...
Dennis is running towards Mr. Wilson as Mr. Wilson light the small stove
dennis >
OOPS!
wilson >

object >

Dennis slips on the ice and bumps Mr. Wilson who drops the stove and his breaks. Mr. Wilson has a sad look on his face

dennis >
Gee, I was just tryin' to HELP!
wilson >
You're just trying to drive me OUT OF MY MIND!
wilson >
Sorry, George... I'll get you a new stove.
After dropping Mr. Wilson's stove into the water, Dennis and Mr. Wilson begin to argue. Dennis' dad attempts to deesculate the situation by offering to buy Mr. Wilson a new stove.
dennis >
Maybe if we rub two sticks together...
father >
And MAYBE we can catach a fish or two before we FREEZE! Now be quiet!
Dennis offers the idea of rubbing sticks together to create a heat source. However, his father tells him to be quiet, wanting them to focus on catching fish.
No one speaks in this panel, but Mr. Wilson and Dennis' father are visibly shivering from the cold while fishing. Dennis is seemingly calm and continues fishing.
dennis
GOT ONE!
father >
ATTABOY! LET ME HEL....
Dennis has seemingly hooked a fish within the ice and his father stand up and moves to offer his help to Dennis.
father >
YOW!
Dennis' father steps into the hole in the ice, falling into it.
Dennis and his father are seemingly driving back home after the events of the previous panel.
THE END.
mother >
Catch anything, dear?
father >
ACHOO!
Dennis and his now ill father return home, greeted by the mother asking if they caught anything. Dennis' responds to this by addressing him now having a "cold"
